ROOTS ABA, Autism Treatment Center in Cedar Knolls NJ is looking for a Full Time Paraprofessional / Behavior Specialist in our center-based program. We will provide high-level training and ongoing supervision to the right person. BCBA supervision possible for ABA Graduate students. Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
The Paraprofessional / Behavior Specialist is a full-time, 35 hour per week, salaried position, working under the supervision of a BCBA and BCBA-D. ROOTS exists in order to help clients learn to manage potentially disruptive behavior and to teach them appropriate, functional and adaptive skills using techniques based in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. You will learn how to run Functional Analyses and related Treatment Analysis sessions. From there you will learn how to develop and implement Behavior Plans and how to train teachers and/or parents.
ROOTS is an intensive program for learners who need help managing sometimes very serious behavior. We provide considerable training and ongoing oversight and supervision.
It is crucial that learners (and colleagues) are treated with kindness and respect at all times. Willingness and enthusiasm to receive training are a must!
